9.17 monresend (terminates an active resource server)

Description
The monresend command terminates an active resource server. When an active resource server is terminated, the corresponding standby resource server, if any, is terminated automatically.

Specifies the alias name of the active resource server that is to be terminated.

The monresend command can be used only for active resource servers. You can execute the monresend command only from the active system.

Normally, there is no need to use the monresend command because a resource server is terminated automatically when all its child servers have terminated.

When a resource server is terminated by the monresend command, its resources are disconnected. Before you execute the command, check that no servers that use those resources are running. If any child server of the specified resource server is running, execution of the monresend command will fail.
