5.5.2 Estimating the number of pages for the global buffer used exclusively for range indexes
You use the adbbuff operand in the server definition to specify the global buffer to be allocated to the DB area for storing range indexes. When doing so, you need to be prepared to estimate accurately the number of pages to be allocated for the global buffer that will be used exclusively for range indexes. You will specify this value in the -a option of the adbbuff operand. For details about how to estimate the number of pages, see the explanation of the -a option of the adbbuff operand in 7.2.11 Operands and options related to global buffers (command format).
