5.39 Add Relation dialog box

Use the Add Relation dialog box to create a new performance tracer or redirector relation between the server(s).

The Add Relation dialog box displays the following items in a sequence for creating the performance tracer relation:

Name text box

Specify the name of the relation to be created. This is a mandatory item.

Target Name list box

Select a target server from the list of all the available web servers, for which the relation is to be created. This is a mandatory item.

Type list box

Select the type of relation to be created. The available relation types are as follows:

  • prf-relation: To create a performance tracer relation.
  • redirect: To create a redirector relation.

This is a mandatory item.

Related Server/Cluster list box

Depending on the relation type selected in the Type list box, the Related Server/Cluster list box displays the cluster, non-clustered Java EE server, and/or Performance Tracer server(s). Select the desired server from the Related Server/Cluster list box to establish a relation with the target server selected in the Target Name list box. If the Performance Tracer server (selected in the Related Server/Cluster list box) and the target server (selected in the Target Name list box) does not belong to the same node, then the relation is not created. This is a mandatory item.

The Add Relation dialog box displays the following action items:

OK button

To create a new relation based on the information specified in the Relation Name, Target Name, Type, and Related server display items, click the OK button. If all the mandatory items are specified, then this button is enabled.

Cancel button

To close the Add Relation dialog box without creating a new relation, click the Cancel button.

The Add Relation dialog box displays the following items in a sequence for creating the redirector relation:

Name text box

Specify the name of the redirector relation to be created. This is a mandatory item.

Target Name list box

Select any of the web server(s) from the list of Java EE or Web servers for which the redirector relation is to be created. This is a mandatory item.

Type list box

Select the type of relation to be created, that is redirect, to create a redirector relation. This is a mandatory item.

Properties

Specify the proxy properties for the redirector relation in the format key=value. Multiple parameters can be specified using colons (:). The default value is as follows:

Default value: path=/:network-listener=http-listener-1:proxy-pass-option='timeout=30'.

If the value of a property is in the key=value format, then the value must be specified in single quotes. Therefore, in the properties mentioned above, the proxy-pass-option property value must be in single quotes '. If you delete the properties, then the default value will be applied.

Related Server/Cluster list box

Depending on the redirect relation selected in the Type list box, the Related Server/Cluster list box displays all the available cluster(s) and non-clustered Java EE server(s). This is a mandatory item.

The Add Relation dialog box displays the following action items:

OK button

To create a new redirector relation based on the information specified in the Name, Target Name, Type, and Related Server/Cluster display items, click the OK button. If all the mandatory items are specified, then this button is enabled.

Cancel button

To close the Add Relation dialog box without creating a new redirector relation, click the Cancel button.
