5.30 JDBC Connection Pool Additional Properties tab

Use the JDBC Connection Pool Additional Properties tab to add new properties, edit the existing properties, and delete the selected properties of the selected JDBC connection pool. You can also test the connection of the selected JDBC connection pool.

The JDBC Connection Pool Additional Properties tab displays the following dynamic items:

Sub title

Displays the name of the selected JDBC connection pool.

Additional Properties count

Displays (within parentheses) the total number of additional properties.

The JDBC Connection Pool Additional Properties tab displays the following Additional Properties items in a tabular format:

Property Selector

Displays a header check box and check boxes to select or clear the properties listed in the Name column. If the header check box of the Property Selector column is selected or cleared, then all the check boxes of the Property Selector column are selected or cleared respectively.

Name

Displays the property name. Click the desired property name to edit the name of the property. When you edit the text in this column for the existing properties and change the focus from the edited text, then the entire row is highlighted in pale yellow color, and an Undo button is displayed on each existing property row that is edited. By default, this column is sorted in ascending order.

Value

Displays the value of the property. This value can be blank. Click the desired property value to edit the value of the property. When you edit the value of the property, and change the focus from the edited value, then the entire row is highlighted in pale yellow color, and an Undo button is displayed on each existing property row that is edited. This column can be sorted.

Description

Displays the description of the property specified in the Name column. If the description is not specified, then this display item is blank. Click the desired property description to edit the description of the property. When you edit the description in this column and change the focus from the edited text, then the entire row is highlighted in pale yellow color, and an Undo button is displayed on each existing property row that is edited. This column can be sorted.

The JDBC Connection Pool Additional Properties tab displays the following action items:

Add button

To create a new property row with default values, click the Add button. The default values applied to the Name, Value, and Description columns are "New Property Name", "New Property Value", and blank description respectively. The new property row is highlighted in pale pink color. You can edit the values specified in these columns.

Delete button

To delete the selected newly added additional properties, strike through the selected existing additional properties, and display an Undo button on the deleted property rows, click the Delete button. The deleted rows are highlighted in violet color. By default, this button is disabled. To enable this button, select at least one additional property using the Property Selector check box.

Ping Connection Pool button

To confirm whether a connection test performed on the selected JDBC connection pool has succeeded or failed, click the Ping Connection Pool button to display the Connection Test dialog box.

Apply button

To confirm and apply the additional properties that are added or edited for the selected JDBC connection pool, click the Apply button to display the Apply Changes dialog box, and then click the OK button. If non-empty property names exist in the Name column, then this button is disabled.

Undo button

To restore the edited or deleted changes made for the corresponding JDBC connection pool additional properties, click the Undo button. This button is displayed based on the following conditions:

  • If an existing additional property is deleted.
  • If an existing additional property is edited.

Important notes

You may not be able to shift the focus from one cell to another in the same column of the editable data grid.
