5.26 JDBC Connection Pool pane

Use the JDBC Connection Pool pane to view all the JDBC connection pools and retrieve information about the Resource Type, Datasource Class, and JDBC resource(s) configured for the corresponding connection pool. You can also create new JDBC connection pool, delete JDBC connection pool(s), and test connection of the JDBC connection pool.

The JDBC Connection Pool pane displays the following dynamic item:

JDBC Connection Pool count

Displays (within parentheses) the total number of available JDBC connection pools.

The JDBC Connection Pool pane displays the following items in a tabular format:

JDBC connection pool Selector

Displays a check box for each JDBC connection pool(s) listed in the Name column. If the header check box of the JDBC connection pool Selector column is selected or cleared, then all the check boxes of the JDBC connection pool Selector column are selected or cleared respectively.

Name

Displays the names of the JDBC connection pool(s) (as a link). Click this link to display the general information of the corresponding pool in the JDBC Connection Pool General tab. By default, this column is sorted in ascending order.

Description

Displays the description of the JDBC connection pool(s) listed in the Name column. If the description is not available for a connection pool, then this item is blank for the corresponding JDBC Connection pool. This column can be sorted.

Resources Type

Displays the type of the JDBC connection pool(s) listed in the Name column. This column can be sorted.

Class Name

Displays the Datasource or Driver Class name of the JDBC connection pool(s) listed in the Name column. This column can be sorted.

JDBC Resource

Displays the total number of JDBC resources (as a link) associated with the connection pools listed in the Name column. Click this link to view the corresponding JDBC resource in the JDBC Connection Pool JDBC Resource tab. This column can be sorted.

Action

Displays the Ping Connection Pool button to test the JDBC connection pool(s) listed in the Name column. To confirm whether a connection test performed on the JDBC connection pool has succeeded or failed, click the Ping Connection Pool button to display the Connection Test dialog box.

The JDBC Connection Pool pane displays the following action items:

New button

To create a new JDBC connection pool, click the New button to display the Create New Connection Pool dialog box, specify the required details, and then click the OK button.

Delete button

To delete the selected JDBC connection pool(s), click the Delete button to display the Delete JDBC Connection Pool dialog box, and then click the OK button. This button is disabled until a JDBC connection pool is selected using the JDBC connection pool Selector check box.
