12.14.4 Notes on the Jobnet Editor window
-
Displaying the manager jobnet
When displaying the manager jobnet, an error will occur if any unit other than the jobnet has been specified as the destination's unit name.
-
Timing updated during editing
A change of the definition in the Jobnet Editor window is registered with JP1/AJS3 - Manager as soon as the change has been made (including the processes of changing unit positions and editing relations).
-
Editing start conditions
Just like ordinary jobnets, start conditions can be edited as virtual jobnets, although they involve the following restrictions:
-
Only event job icons and custom event job icons can be used as start conditions.
-
It is possible to define up to 32 event job icons and custom event job icons.
-
You cannot set the hold or recovery attribute.
-
You cannot make relation.
-
-
Selecting units
If the focus is in the tree area, those units selected in the tree area become the target of operation. Otherwise, the target refers to those units selected in the map area. If no units have been selected in the map area and the focus is outside the tree area, you cannot operate any unit.
-
Asynchronous communication
Operation is possible even during communication because of asynchronous communication with the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host. However, some elements of the operation must be conducted only after the communication process has been completed.
-
Exclusive edit mode
In the exclusive edit mode, exclusive processing occurs when you change the jobnet configuration, such as when adding or deleting a unit, or specifying related settings. Even in the exclusive edit mode, another user can change the definition of a unit in the relevant jobnet. However, an error occurs if multiple users define and edit a single nested job or job. To avoid this, assign an operator to each nested jobnet so that edit operations do not conflict with each other.
-
A network error may occur in a host on which JP1/AJS3 - View is running or that host may stop abnormally. If this occurs, end processing of JP1/AJS3 - View is not performed normally. If JP1/AJS3 - View is referencing or editing a unit, another JP1/AJS3 - View or a command may not be able to delete or change that unit for a fixed period. Note that the period during which the unit cannot be edited depends on the value specified for the SESSIONTIMEOUT environment setting parameter.
-
When the exclusive edit mode is not established, selecting any non-standard button among the edit mode selection buttons will automatically establish the exclusive edit mode.
-
When the exclusive edit mode has been established or when a display map in the Jobnet Editor window has been moved during exclusive editing, the unit information in the map area is read again in order to maintain the integrity with the information that has been registered with JP1/AJS3 - Manager.
-
With the exclusive edit mode established, you should take care not to update the information registered with JP1/AJS3 - Manager. The target is the jobnet displayed in the map area.
-
With the exclusive edit mode established, if an error occurs during editing or if a reconnection is made with the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host, the system forcibly terminates the exclusive edit mode.
-
-
Exclusive editing under suspended conditions
-
Under the suspended condition, the following kinds of exclusive editing processing are disabled:
- Renaming an existing unit
- Cutting
- Moving from a non-suspended unit to a suspended unit (pasting after cutting)
- Changing the recovery attribute for a unit currently being executed
- Deleting a unit currently being executed
-
In deleting more than one unit, if there is a unit currently being executed, an error message (KAVV591-E) appears. As a result, the deleting process may sometimes be terminated halfway.
After making sure that the unit that has not been deleted is a unit currently being executed, you should perform the deleting process again.
-
Clicking the Details button in the Define Details - [Custom Job] dialog box displays the dialog box that defines a custom job. When you click the OK button in that dialog box, a command prompt screen temporarily appears. This does not affect the operation However, do not forcibly terminate the command prompt screen either by clicking the x button or choosing Close in the menu.
-
When a root jobnet is copied to under a root jobnet
The Depends on upper-level jobnet schedule rule is selected. When a schedule has been set, set the schedule again from the Schedule Settings dialog box.
