12.14.3 Notes on the JP1/AJS3 - View window
- Organization of this subsection
(1) Notes on both modes of the JP1/AJS3 - View window
-
When the selected unit is deleted or the full unit name is changed
A message appears and the upper-level layer is selected.
-
Displaying manager job groups
When you double-click a manager job group in the list area, another JP1/AJS3 - View window appears and the chosen job group appears. If you have already logged in, but fail to connect to the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host at this time, the Login screen appears. In that case, re-log in.
-
Displaying manager jobnets
When you specify a manager jobnet and open the Jobnet Editor window, Daily Schedule window, or Monthly Schedule window, another JP1/AJS3 - View window appears, allowing you to reference the manager jobnet. If you have already logged in but fail to connect to the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host at this time, the Login screen appears. In that case, re-log in.
-
Displaying remote jobnets
When you specify a remote jobnet and open the Jobnet Monitor window, another JP1/AJS3 - View window appears, allowing you to reference the remote jobnet. If you have already logged in but fail to connect to the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host at this time, the Login screen appears. In that case, re-log in.
-
Displaying manager job groups, manager jobnets, or remote jobnets in a different JP1/AJS3 - View window
When you open a manager job group, manager jobnet or remote jobnet, and a new JP1/AJS3 - View window appears, note the following:
-
The new JP1/AJS3 - View window remains displayed even after you log out from the previous JP1/AJS3 - View. You must log out from each JP1/AJS3 - View that is displayed.
-
The status of the new JP1/AJS3 - View window is not saved by the previous JP1/AJS3 - View window. The status of windows is saved by each JP1/AJS3 - View that is displayed.
-
-
Height of windows
When you click Options, Save status and then Save in the JP1/AJS3 - View window to save the status of a different window, the height of the saved window might be higher next time than the time when it was saved.
(2) Notes on the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window)
-
Units that are not displayed in the tree area
Manager job groups are not displayed in the tree area.
-
Status and results displayed in the list area
The status and results of manager jobnets are not displayed in the list area. When you open the Jobnet Monitor window, manager jobnets appear with the latest status and results, not according to the setting specified in the Preferences dialog box (Monitor the previous status in Monitoring mode when Jobnet Monitor starts on the Main page in the Preferences dialog box is not applicable).
-
Displaying the detailed information area
To display information in the detailed information area, select a unit in the list area and click the Show button. Even if the screen is updated or you select another unit in the list area, the unit displayed in the detailed information area does not change.
-
Updating the screen
The target of screen update is the information about units being displayed in the detailed information area. The units themselves do not change in the detailed information area when the screen is updated.
-
Displaying the Monitor Details dialog box for a jobnet to which a jobnet connector is connected
Note the following when you display the Monitor Details dialog box for a generation of the jobnet to which a jobnet connector is connected if connection of the generation is not fixed.
-
If the jobnet connector exists on a host that is managed by a different authentication server, you need to log in to the host with the jobnet connector to obtain the connection source execution ID. If that is the case, the Login screen appears. Log in to the host with the jobnet connector. The Login screen will not appear when you attempt to display the Monitor Details dialog box for a generation with a fixed connection.
When you click Cancel in the Login screen, Unknown appears in Exec. ID (Source) in the Monitor Details dialog box.
-
Because the host with the jobnet needs to communicate with the host with the jobnet connector, the JP1/AJS3 service must be started on the host with the jobnet connector. If the JP1/AJS3 service is not active, a communication error occurs. Note that other operations cannot be performed until the communication error is detected.
-
-
Jobnet definition to be copied or pasted when you attempt to copy or paste a release target jobnet
When you click Copy or Paste for a release target jobnet, only the definition in the Being applied release status is copied or pasted. When you click Delete, the jobnet itself is deleted together with the definition for which release entry is performed.
(3) Notes on the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Summary Monitor window)
-
Displaying the units of the same name
The Unit name column in the summary list or unit detailed information list displays the unit names defined in the Define Details dialog box, not the full names of units. Therefore, if you display units under different scheduler services or different job groups in the summary list or unit detailed information list at the same time, you might not be able to differentiate different units with the same name. If you want to differentiate such units, display the Jobnet Editor window or Jobnet Monitor window for each unit, and check the full name of each unit.
-
Displaying the unit detailed information list
The unit detailed information list appears only when you select a unit in the summary list, and click View, Unit Detailed Information List and then execution-status. Even when the screen is updated or you select another unit in the summary list, the units displayed in the unit detailed information list do not change.
-
Updating the screen
The target of screen update is the information about units being displayed in the summary list. The units themselves do not change in the summary list when the screen is updated.
