12.14.1 General notes on JP1/AJS3 - View
-
When many definitions or related settings are assigned to a single jobnet
The performance of operation will degrade if you assign a single jobnet a large number of jobnets, job definitions, or related settings. From the viewpoint of the ease of operation and performance, we recommend that you limit the number of units defined in a single jobnet to somewhere between 50 and 80 by giving the jobnet a hierarchy of two or three levels.
-
When the character code set is a Japanese character code set
For details about the characters that can be used when the character code set for JP1/AJS3 is a Japanese character code set, see 2.4.2 Language type and character encoding of the system in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 System Design (Configuration) Guide.
-
When the character code set for JP1/AJS3 - Manager is UTF-8
If the character code set is UTF-8 and the DEFLENTYPE environment setting parameter is set to sjis, the number of characters that can be specified for the following items is the same as in a Shift JIS environment:
-
Unit name in the detailed unit definition
-
Comment in the detailed unit definition
-
Exclusive jobnet in the schedule settings
Note, however, that the maximum number of nests (the maximum number of hierarchies) in a unit is 10 (the default is 30).

Entering double-byte characters in dialog boxes

-
When a unit has been referenced by using JP1/AJS3 - View
When you are referencing a unit on JP1/AJS3 - View, you cannot perform editing that changes the unit configuration starting from the root jobnet up to the referenced unit (such as changing the unit name, deleting or moving the unit).
Referenced units refer to the following:
-
In the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window), Jobnet Editor window, and Jobnet Monitor window:
Units that are selected in the tree area in one of the above windows
-
In the Daily Schedule window, Monthly Schedule window, and Edit Monthly Calendar window:
A unit that is selected to open one of the above windows
