11.7.7 Changing the background image of the map area
You can change the background image of the map area in the Jobnet Monitor window.
Two methods are provided:
-
Setting the same background image for all units
Specify the setting in a JP1/AJS3 - View file.
-
Setting a background image for each unit
Specify the setting in the Wall Paper dialog box.
The following describes each method and provides cautionary notes.
- Organization of this subsection
(1) Setting the same background image for all units
You can specify the same background image in the Jobnet Monitor window and Jobnet Editor window for all units.
- Specify from:
-
A JP1/AJS3 - View file (User-specified option file)
For details, see 11.1.1 Types of customization methods.
- Specification
-
Use the following format:
jajsMapBackGroundPixmap=background-file-name (return)
If you omit this setting, no background image is specified.
- Example
-
Use \tmp\japanmap.gif as background of the map area.
jajsMapBackGroundPixmap=c:\\tmp\\japanmap.gif (return)
(2) Setting a background image for each unit
You can specify a background image for each unit. For example, you can specify different background images for different job groups or different manager hosts.
- Specify from:
-
Wall Paper dialog box
Procedure
To set a background image for each unit:
-
In the Jobnet Monitor window, choose Options and then Set Wall Paper.
The Wall Paper dialog box appears.
-
Specify the unit for which you want to set wallpaper.
In the tree area, select the unit for which you want to set wallpaper. By default, the unit displayed in the Jobnet Monitor window is selected.
-
Specify the name of the file you want to use for the background.
In File name, click the ... button to display the Select File dialog box. In this dialog box, specify the name of the file you want to use for the background. When you select an image file in the Select File dialog box, File name in the Wall Paper dialog box displays the absolute path for the file.
By default, the Depends on upper-level unit check box is selected in the Wall Paper dialog box. When this check box is selected, File name is disabled.
-
Click the OK button.
The Wall Paper dialog box closes.
(3) Cautionary notes
Note the following when you change the background image of the map area:
-
You can specify a background file having the .gif or .jpg extension.
-
When you specify an image file for the background in a JP1/AJS3 - View file, use a slash (/) or double backslashes (\\) as a delimiter in the file path.
-
When specifying a JP1/AJS3 - View file, you cannot specify Japanese and other double-byte characters in file paths and file names. These characters are invalid.
-
Modifying the background of the map area may result in insufficient resources or degraded performance.
-
If the wallpaper setting specified in a JP1/AJS3 - View file as described in (1) and the wallpaper setting specified in the Wall Paper dialog box as described in (2) have both been specified, the setting in the Wall Paper dialog box takes precedence.
-
The wallpaper setting is managed separately for each host running JP1/AJS3 - View and each JP1 user on the host, and for each host that is to be connected. Note that the system assumes that a host specified with a host name and a host specified with an IP address in Host to connect in the Login screen are different hosts.
-
If the size of the selected image file is larger than the map area in the Jobnet Editor window or Jobnet Monitor window, part of the image might not be displayed because the image is not scaled down to fit the map area.
