2.2.2 Backing up the JP1/Base setup information
Backing up the JP1/Base setup information requires backup of the definition files set by the JP1/Base user. For details about how to back up the definition files set by the JP1/Base user, see the JP1/Base User's Guide.
Note that, if common definition information of JP1/AJS3 is to be obtained separately, perform a backup in accordance with the following procedure.
- Organization of this subsection
(1) The common definition information of JP1/AJS3 - Manager
To back up the common definition information for JP1/AJS3 - Manager, execute the following commands:
jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1AJS2 > backup-file for JP1AJS2 jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1NBQAGENT > backup-file for JP1NBQAGENT jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1NBQMANAGER > backup-file for JP1NBQMANAGER jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1NBQCLIENT > backup-file for JP1NBQCLIENT jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1NBQNOTIFY > backup-file for JP1NBQNOTIFY jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1AOMMANAGER > backup-file for JP1AOMMANAGER jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1AOMAGENT > backup-file for JP1AOMAGENT jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1AJSMANAGER > backup-file for JP1AJSMANAGER jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1AJS2COMMON > backup-file for JP1AJS2COMMON#1 jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1QLAGENT > backup-file for JP1QLAGENT#2 jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1AJS2CONSOLEMANAGER > backup-file for JP1AJS2CONSOLEMANAGER#3 jbsgetcnf -c JP1AJS2CONSOLEAGENT > backup-file for JP1AJS2CONSOLEAGENT#3, #4
- #1
-
If environment setting parameters under JP1AJS2COMMON are being added by using the jajs_config command or the jbssetcnf command, perform a backup because there is a definition key. For details about the environment setting parameter, see 20.11.1 List of the environment setting parameters for JP1/AJS3 shared information in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide.
- #2
-
If the queueless job execution environment is being set up, perform a backup because there is a definition key.
- #3
-
If JP1/AJS3 Console functions are being used as compatibility functions for version 10 or earlier, perform a backup because there is a definition key.
- #4
-
For JP1AJS2CONSOLEAGENT, back up only the common definition information of the physical host.
(2) The common definition information of JP1/AJS3 - Agent
To back up the common definition information for JP1/AJS3 - Agent, execute the following commands:
jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1AJS2 > backup-file for JP1AJS2 jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1NBQAGENT > backup-file for JP1NBQAGENT jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1NBQCLIENT > backup-file for JP1NBQCLIENT jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1NBQNOTIFY > backup-file for JP1NBQNOTIFY jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1AOMAGENT > backup-file for JP1AOMAGENT jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1AJS2COMMON > backup-file for JP1AJS2COMMON#1 jbsgetcnf [-h logical-host-name] -c JP1QLAGENT > backup-file for JP1QLAGENT#2
- #1
-
If environment setting parameters under JP1AJS2COMMON are being added by using the jajs_config command or the jbssetcnf command, perform a backup because there is a definition key.
(3) Cautionary notes on backing up
-
Obtain the common definition information for the physical host and for the logical host.
-
If the common definition information of the logical host is to be obtained, backup that information to a different file from the common definition information of the physical host. When doing so, make sure that the backup files do not have the same name.
-
Make sure that the logical host name you specify for the jbsgetcnf command is identical (including letter case) to the logical host name that was specified when the logical host was defined.
-
For details on the jbsgetcnf command, see the JP1/Base User's Guide.
