8.1 JP1/AJS3 status monitoring by using the Web GUI (Management Portal)
The status of JP1/AJS3 can be monitored by using a web browser.
The web browser's page for monitoring the status of JP1/AJS3 is called the Web GUI (Management Portal). The following figure shows an example of the page displayed in a web browser when the Web GUI (Management Portal) is used for monitoring.
|
For details about the Web GUI, see 9. Web Interfaces Available in JP1/AJS3.
With the Web GUI (Management Portal), you can use a web browser to check the following information:
-
Whether the JP1/AJS3 services are running
-
Whether there are many unavailable areas in the database
-
Whether there are any events that might interrupt job execution
-
Whether the manager and agent hosts can communicate with each other
-
Operating states of the JP1/AJS3 system, including the usage of scheduler services and the number of jobs that are running
If you notice an abnormality occurring in JP1/AJS3, troubleshoot it by using JP1/AJS3 - View, the Web GUI (Job Portal), or commands.
To use the Web GUI (Management Portal) for troubleshooting, you must set it up on both the manager and agent hosts. For details about how to set up, 6.7 Settings related to the Web GUI (Management Portal) in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide for a Windows host, or 15.8 Settings related to the Web GUI (Management Portal) in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide for a UNIX host.
For details about the operation procedure in Web GUI (Management Portal), see 16. Management Portal of the Web GUI in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Operator's Guide.
