(1) Upload Definition Files dialog box
The Upload Definition Files dialog box is used to upload a definition file.
When you perform an upload, the commands required to change the configuration of the definition file (such as reloading) are also executed automatically after the upload.
|
|
The display items of the Upload Definition Files dialog box are shown below.
- Select Files (*. zip)
-
Specifies to the compressed file# of the definition file to be uploaded as a character string of up to 200 bytes. Allowed characters are single-byte alphanumeric characters, single-byte spaces, "-", "_", ".". Control characters cannot be entered.
The maximum size of a file that can be specified is 10MB.
- #
-
The name of the compressed file specified in the upload is arbitrary. The file format is the same as the compressed file to download.
In addition to the entity of the definition file to be uploaded, the compressed file must include a property file that contains information about the file to be uploaded. The property file contains the definition file name and information about the file path. For details about property files, see Definition file properties file (imdd_file_properties.json) and Definition file property file (jpc_file_properties.json) in Chapter 2. Definition Files in the JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager Command, Definition File and API Reference.
- Browse button
-
Display the input window for specifying the file to upload.
- Upload button
-
The upload confirmation window is displayed.
Click the OK button to upload the specified file and add the uploaded file to the definition file list. #1
If there is no entry in the text area of the Select Files (*. zip), this button is inactive.
- #1
-
Note the following when performing an upload:
-
Before updating the definition file, check Chapter 2. Definition Files in the JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager Command, Definition File and API Reference to make sure that the format and character code of the definition file are correct.
If the definition file is invalid, the update may fail. If updating of the definition file fails, an JP1 event is sent. Check the details of JP1 event that occurred and take appropriate action.
-
Some services are restarted automatically when you update the definition file. For the service to be restarted, see the explanation of each definition file in Chapter 2. Definition Files in the JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager Command, Definition File and API Reference.
When the service is restarted, monitoring may be temporarily stopped. In addition, in a clustered configuration, a failover may occur due to #2 of setting the outage detection times for the service targets monitored by the cluster software.
Therefore, update the definition file during maintenance.
-
- #2
-
Depending on the specifications of the machine and the load on the system, the service is restarted for each update of one definition file, so the estimated stop detection time is about one minute for each definition file.
For example, if you are updating 10 definition files at the same time, specify 10 minutes as the cluster software stop detection time.
If you cannot increase the detection time, log in to the host without using the definition file operation facility and update the definition file directly.
