4.1.2 Flow of processing for JP1 event monitoring
The following describes how JP1/IM and JP1/Base are inter-linked in event monitoring. This example shows the flow of processing where a JP1 event generated in an agent is displayed on a window on the viewer.
The flow of processing is described below, following the numbers in the figure:
-
JP1/IM agent control base is notified to convert JP1 events for alerts that occur during JP1/IM - Agent performance monitoring on agent and logs that are detected during log monitoring.
-
JP1/IM agent control base forwards to the manager's JP1/IM agent management base.
-
JP1/IM agent management base forwards JP1 event-translation.
-
JP1 event translation registers as a JP1 event in the event service of the manager.
-
On the other hand, JP1/Base's agent event service registers JP1 events that occur on agent.
-
The JP1 event registered with the event service is forwarded to the destination defined by the forwarding setting file of JP1/Base.
-
Information about the registered JP1 event is acquired by the event base service.
-
The event console service acquires the JP1 event information from the event base service.
-
Intelligent Integrated Management Base retrieves JP1 event info from the event console service.
-
Monitor JP1 events from the viewer window.
For details about the performance monitoring, see 3.15.1 Performance monitoring function by JP1/IM - Agent. For details about the log monitoring, see 3.15.3 Log monitoring function by JP1/IM - Agent. For details about the integrated agent control base and integrated agent management base, see 3.15.7 JP1/IM agent base. For details about the event translation, see 2.7.5 JP1 event translation function.
For details about the event service, see 9.4.2 Managing JP1 events using JP1/Base. For details about configuration management, see 9.4.3 Managing the system hierarchy. For details about the event base service, see 4.1.3 Internal control of JP1 events by JP1/IM - Manager.
In the following descriptions, the above descriptions 1 to 4 are omitted as the flow of event monitoring processing. For monitoring operation using JP1/IM - Agent, replace the event-monitoring function of JP1/Base of agent with the function 1 to 4.
