JP1 Version 13 JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager Overview and System Design Guide

3.5.8 Monitoring of multiple sites

The content displayed in the [Operation Status] area of integrated operation viewer running on lower manager of each office can be integrated and displayed in the [Operation Status] area of integrated operation viewer running on the Integrated Manager. IM management node that was added in version 13-00 or later can also be consolidated and displayed in the same way.

In addition, JP1 events issued by a site's systems are mapped to IM management node displayed in the Integrated Manager's integrated operation viewer.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Prerequisites

The prerequisites are as follows:

(2) Displayed in the [Operation Status] area of integrated operation viewer

You can view the configuration information of integrated operation viewer that runs on lower manager of each office by integrating JP1/IM and JP1/Base displayed in the [Status] area of integrated operation viewer that runs on the Integrated Manager. In version 13-00 and later, you can view and consolidate IM managed nodes for JP1/IM - Agent as well.

IM management node of the collaboration product (JP1/AJS or JP1/PFM) specified as target host definition file for configuration collection by the office or relay manager is not displayed in integrated operation viewer running in the integrated manager. To be displayed, you must specify target host definition file for configuration collection in the Integration Manager.

Note that the information displayed in the [Operation Status] area of integrated operation viewer running on the Integration Manager differs depending on the combination of the version of the Integration Manager and the base or relay manager.

JP1 events issued by the local systems are also mapped to IM management node that appears in the Integrated Manager integrated operation viewer.

IM management node data (including SID) managed by the office or relay manager will also be displayed in the Integrated Manager.

(3) Displaying integrated operation viewer in the [related node] tabbed page

The following describes IM management node related to JP1/IM: This is SID when the configuration data exists.

Displays related information in integrated operation viewer running on the Integrated Manager, similar to what you see in integrated operation viewer running on lower manager at your location.

(4) Setting procedure

After setting up a site or relay manager, the Integration Manager host reflects the site or relay manager host and IM management node under it by running jddcreatetree or jddupdatetree commands on the Integration Manager host, or by running IM management node Create Execute function from integrated operation viewer.

(5) Responding to Configuration Changes

■To add, modify, and remove IM management node under the office or relay manager host

If there is a change in the base or relay manager host, such as adding, changing, or deleting a IM management node, execute the command (jddcreatetree, jddupdatetree) or integrated operation viewer on the integrated manager host to reflect the change to the integrated manager host.

■Adding, modifying, and removing base or relay manager hosts

When adding, changing, or deleting a base or relay manager host, execute the command (jddcreatetree, jddupdatetree) or IM management node creation function from integrated operation viewer on the integration manager host to reflect to the integration manager host.
