JP1 Version 13 JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager Overview and System Design Guide

3.5.4 Acquiring IM management node related information

When you set up the Intelligent Integrated Management Base or when you change the structure of IM management nodes by adding a host or changing a resource group, you have to acquire IM management node related information by executing the jddcreatetree command or integrated operation viewer. For details about how to use integrated operation viewer, see 3.6.4 IM management node creation and execution function.

When an agent configuration of JP1/Base is used, only the local host and the hosts under it, which show up in the configuration definition information that is displayed by the jbsrt_get command, are acquired as IM management node related information, regardless of whether IM Configuration Management is enabled or disabled. For details about the jbsrt_get command, see the JP1/Base User's Guide. When a remote monitoring configuration is used, IM management node related information is acquired only when IM Configuration Management is enabled.

Note that, when a base manager is defined, the system hierarchy must be synchronized prior to acquiring IM management node related information.

When you perform an IM management node related information retrieval, IM management node-related files are created. For details about the IM management node-related files, see 3.5.3 IM management node-related files.

The following figure shows how to acquire IM management node related information.

IM management node related information retrieval function provides the functionality to collect system configuration information, to generate IM management node links, and to generate an IM management node tree.
