JP1 Version 13 JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager Overview and System Design Guide

3.6.4 IM management node creation and execution function

As of version 13-00, you can perform the following functions from WebGUI:

Organization of this subsection

(1) Retrieving integrated agent configuration information

The information that integrated agent's IM management node is based on is obtained from the trend data labeling information that is RemoteWrite from integrated agent to Intelligent Integrated Management Database (IMGNDB). For details about the method that retrieves a list of label sets, see 4.5.18 jp1TrendDataService.getLabelList in the JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager Command, Definition File and API Reference.

This allows you to obtain the information needed to generate IM management node automatically from the trend data actually obtained from the managed object. Also, even if a managed object is temporarily stopped after IM management node is created, IM management node for that managed object is generated even if you regenerate IM management node as long as trend data remains.

It also retrieves integrated agent under the control of lower manager.

(2) Function to generate tree information (WebGUI)

IM management node related information can be generated from the List of Definition Files for Managers window.

(3) Function for executing import of tree data (WebGUI)

IM management node related information can be imported from the List of Definition Files for Managers window.

Important
  • This function cannot be executed more than once at the same time. If multiple executions are performed, execution will fail if executed later.

  • This function and jddcreatetree commands cannot be executed simultaneously.

  • This function and jddupdatetree commands cannot be executed simultaneously.

  • This function and jddupdatesuggestion commands cannot be executed simultaneously.

  • If you use this command on an Integration Manager host, Intelligent Integrated Management Base and JP1/IM agent management base services of the office or relay manager host must be running.
