9.3.1 Communication between the viewer and manager
Typically, communication is established between the viewer and manager when a user logs in to JP1/IM - Manager from JP1/IM - View or the integrated operation viewer, and is terminated when the user logs out. Communication is also terminated according to the timeout period set in JP1/IM when communication processing between the viewer and manager takes too long or the manager goes down and fails to respond to requests. For details about the timeout period, see Communication environment definition file (console.conf.update) in the manual JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager Command, Definition File and API Reference. To change the communication timeout period, you must change settings for the viewer (JP1/IM - View) and the manager (JP1/IM - Manager (Central Console)), or those for the integrated operation viewer and the manager (JP1/IM - Manager (Intelligent Integrated Management Base)). You do not need to do this for JP1/IM - Manager (Central Scope or Intelligent Integrated Management Base).
The following table lists the ports used for communication between JP1/IM - View and JP1/IM - Manager.
