2.4.1 JP1/IM - Manager function list
The following figure shows the functions of component programs used for system operation monitoring by JP1/IM - Manager.
|
JP1/IM - Manager is linked with the prerequisite product JP1/Base, and operates using the core functionality provided by JP1/Base. JP1/Base also runs on the agents in the JP1/IM - Manager system. JP1/IM - Manager thus has an inseparable relationship with JP1/Base.
You can also use JP1/IM - Agent as agent for JP1/IM - Manager.
The functions in the figure above are summarized below.

Managing the System with System Configuration Information and JP1 Events |
Uses data from the systems, such as relations between multiple systems, job management, operation monitoring, event management and performance information, to monitor the status of system configuration information. |
|
Integrated monitoring of systems with IM management node |
Checks the operation status of the components (IM management node) of the monitored system displayed in integrated operation viewer hierarchically based on JP1 events. This enables integrated monitoring of the system. |
||
Dashboard Visualizing IT SystemHealth |
Graphically displays the performance data collected by IM management node status monitoring, alert information monitoring, and IT resource monitoring in a freeform layout. |
||
Event display |
Displays the events that occur on the monitored hosts in the event list of integrated operation viewer. |
||
Related node indicator |
Integrated operation viewer visualizes the connections of the components as related node and provides an at-a-glance view of multi-system relationships and system-wide status. |
||
Trend information indicator |
Displays trend information (job residence status, host-performance information) of IM management node or related node selected in integrated operation viewer. This helps you to proactively check issues and determine the cause of problems when they occur. |
||
Linkage with other products |
You can retrieve system configuration information from monitored products, such as JP1/IM - Agent, JP1/Base JP1/AJS, JP1/PFM, and monitor the data comprehensively of each product from integrated operation viewer. |
||
Response action |
