1.12.15 Enabling and disabling the activity auto connect function

The activity auto connect function displays a preview of the connection between activities when an activity being deployed or moved in a business process editor is placed near another activity.

In addition, when the activity is dragged to a location near linked activities, a preview of another connection with those activities appears.

When the activity is deployed in this state, the connection is determined and the activities are linked.

The auto connect function is enabled by default. To disable the auto connect function or change the settings:

1. From the Eclipse menu, select Window, and then Preferences.

   The Preferences dialog box opens.

2. In the left pane, select HCSC-Definer, and then Business Process Editor.

   The Business Process Editor page appears in the right pane.

   

3. If necessary, change the settings of the items under Auto-connect.

   • Whether to enable connections with existing activities and whether to enable insertion to existing connections (these settings are specified when creating a new activity and when moving an activity)

   • Distance for showing a preview of the connection

   • Whether to display a circle indicating the scope of auto connection while the activity is dragged

     

4. Click the Apply and Close button.
