F.3 Procedure for terminating a system

(1) Flow of terminating a system

The procedure for terminating a system is the reverse of the procedure for starting a system. If you are using a database, terminate it at the end, if necessary.

Terminate a system based on the termination operation explained below:

• Terminate batch applications

  If the batch applications are not terminated, use the cjkilljob command to terminate a batch application. For details on terminating a batch application, see F.4 (1) Terminating batch applications.

• Terminate resources

  When you are not using resources, this operation is not required.

  Use the server management command (cjstoprar) to terminate a resource. For details on terminating resources, see C.4 (3) Terminating a resource.

• Terminate a batch server

  Terminate a batch server using the cjstopsv command. For details on terminating a batch server, see F.4 (2) Terminating a batch server.

• Terminate the CTM daemon

  This operation is not required when CTM is not used.

  You use the ctmstop command to terminate the CTM daemon. For details on terminating the CTM daemon, see C.4(5) Terminating a CTM daemon.

• Terminate the CORBA Naming Service

  You use Ctrl + C to terminate CORBA Naming Service.

• Terminate the CTM domain manager

  This operation is not required when CTM is not used.

  You use the ctmdmstop command to terminate the CTM domain manager. For details on terminating the CTM domain manager, see C.4(7) Terminating the CTM domain manager.

• Terminate the Smart Agent

  To terminate the Smart Agent, right click the Smart Agent icon, and then choose Exit.

• Terminate a PRF daemon

  Terminate a PRF daemon using the cprfstop command. For details on terminating a PRF daemon, see C.4 (9) Terminating a PRF daemon.
