uCosminexus Application Server System Setup and Operation Guide

4.1.30 Check points for operating the resource adapter or the business application (when using CUI)

Organization of this subsection

(1) Information set when executing the server management commands

Use the server management commands to set up and start the resource adapter or the business application. Specify the actual server name when specifying the server name in the arguments, in the server management command. The actual server name is same as the logical server name, if you do not specify the actual server name when creating the Easy Setup definition file. If you do not specify the logical server name, the logical server name is defined in the cmx_Web-system-name_service-unit-name_type_serial-number format. The following table describes the correspondence between the type and classification of the logical server:

Table 4‒15: Correspondence between the type and classification of logical server

Type of logical server

<Classification>

Logical Web Server

HTTP

Logical J2EE server

J2EE

Logical performance tracer

PRF

Logical CTM domain manager

CTMDM

Logical CTM

CTM

Logical Smart Agent

SA

Logical user server

USER

Usually 01 is set for the serial-number. However, in case of multiple allocations of logical servers such as in the systems using CTM, unique numbers are assigned. Use the cmx_list_model command to check the serial-number.

(2) Operations using the server management commands

Execute the operations using the server management commands for each service unit.

The service unit is one example of the system described in this manual. When setting multiple service units, change the J2EE server name and the specification value for -nameserver used in the example of command execution for each service unit and execute the server management command.

(3) Properties of J2EE applications

Use cosminexus.xml for the property setting of the J2EE application described in this manual. Therefore, include the cosminexus.xml created beforehand, along with EJB-JAR, and WAR in the J2EE application and then use the file.

In the following cases, you can set the properties of J2EE applications in the property file (Application Integrated Property file).

For details on how to set, see 9.2 Property settings using the HITACHI Application Integrated Property File in the uCosminexus Application Server Application Setup Guide.
