I.1 Deleting JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager device information corresponding to the device information deleted from Asset Console

If you discard managed devices and then delete their device information from Asset Console, you also need to delete the corresponding device information from JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager. This maintains the integrity of device information between Asset Console and JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager. To delete device information from JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager, use the jamDeleteITDM2Info.exe command, which is stored in the following folder:

Asset-Console-installation-folder\exe

Note that an agent must be installed on the asset management server to execute the jamDeleteITDM2Info.exe command.

The following describes the function, format, and return values of the jamDeleteITDM2Info.exe command, and provides notes on command execution.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Function

This command sends a notification to JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager to delete JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager's device information corresponding to the device information deleted from Asset Console. Device information on the asset management server will not be deleted.

If a notification to JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager fails, it is retried according to Settings to perform retries when an error occurs in the agent configuration for the agent installed on the asset management server.

This command returns the following values:
