7.6.13 Distributing jobs during suspension

Even if you want to urgently distribute packages, you cannot do so if another job is waiting for execution or is currently running. In such a case, you can distribute packages ahead of other jobs by suspending other jobs and assigning top priority to a job that distributes the packages you want to distribute urgently. Note that when there are no suspended jobs, the distribution order is the same as for normal jobs.

To distribute packages even during job suspension, select Distribute on the Job Distribution Attributes page during job creation. The Remote Install Manager displays jobs (for which Distribute is selected) with different icons from those of jobs for which this option is not selected. If you want to use a command to automatically execute a job that distributes packages even during job suspension, use the following methods:

The relationships between job distribution during suspension and other operations are described below.

Relationship with multicast distribution

You cannot suspend jobs specifying multicast distribution. For such jobs, it is not meaningful to specify whether to distribute packages even during job suspension.

Relationship with split distribution

For jobs specifying split distribution, you cannot specify that packages be distributed even during suspension.
