2.4.1 Overview

By setting conditions for ID groups (called a policy), you can automatically register new managed computers in the appropriate ID groups as soon as they are added to a system managed by JP1/IT Desktop Management 2.

By executing a software distribution job for an ID group in advance, you can distribute software automatically to new managed computers whenever they are added to that ID group. This is useful from a security perspective because it allows you to distribute software that is essential at deployment, such as antivirus software.

The following figure shows the general procedure for creating the ID group ID_NEWCLT, and automatically distributing software to computers added to that ID group.
