1.5.2 Managing software information of agents for UNIX and agents for Mac
You can check the types, versions, and other information about software programs installed on agents for UNIX and agents for Mac.
JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 enables you to collect information about remotely installed software or about software in the search list that exists on agents. Unless information notification is disabled on the agent for UNIX, you can also collect information about OS patches applied to the computer and manage it in the same way as software information.
To acquire software information from agents for UNIX and agents for Mac and manage it in the JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 windows, you must edit the configuration file (jdn_manager_config.conf).
