3.5.3 Configuring the SNMP ports (UNIX only)

If you modify the SNMP reception port number of the master agent in the required JP1/ESA software, you also need to modify the SNMP reception port number specified in the startup shell script of APM. Modify the file shown below. After modifying the SNMP reception port number, restart APM to apply the setting.

In the Linux version, the default port number is 22161. In the version for other UNIX OS (except for Linux), the default port number is 161.

File: $APM_BIN/apmstart (in systems other than Linux), $APM_BIN/sub_apmstart (in Linux)

If you modify the SNMP reception port of the monitoring server, you also need to modify the port number of the monitoring manager in the monitoring manager's SNMP definition file so that both port numbers match.
