3.3.1 Notes before uninstallation and unsetup in Windows
This section provides notes about uninstalling PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications and canceling its setup.

(1) OS user permission required for uninstallation
When you uninstall PFM - Agent, make sure that you use an account that has the Administrators permission.
(2) Network
Uninstalling a Performance Management program does not delete port numbers defined in the services file.
(3) Programs

The RFC library stored after installation, as described in 3.1.4 Library application procedure, will be deleted at the time of uninstallation. Back it up prior to uninstalling, if necessary.

If you uninstall PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications while Performance Management services or other programs that reference Performance Management files (such as Windows Event Viewer) are running, some files and folders might remain in the system. In such a case, a message prompting you to delete everything under installation-folder\agtm will be displayed. Manually delete all files and folders under installation-folder\agtm.

If you attempt to uninstall PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications while Performance Management services or other programs that reference Performance Management files (such as Windows Event Viewer) are running, a message prompting system restart might be displayed. If this occurs, restart the system to complete the uninstallation procedure.

If PFM - Base and PFM - Agent are both installed on the same host, uninstall PFM - Agent first, and then uninstall PFM - Base. Similarly, if PFM - Manager and PFM - Agent are both installed on the same host, uninstall PFM - Agent first, and then uninstall PFM - Manager.
(4) Services
Uninstalling PFM - Agent does not delete the service information that has been registered in PFM - Manager and that will be displayed when using the jpctool service list command. To delete the service information, use the jpctool service delete command on the host on which PFM - Manager is installed. To apply the deletion of service information to the PFM - Web Console host, you must execute the jpctool service sync command to synchronize the agent information between the PFM - Manager and PFM - Web Console hosts.
(5) Other

If you uninstall a Performance Management program from a host on which PFM - Web Console has been installed, close all windows on the browser before starting the uninstallation procedure.

After uninstalling PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications 11-00 or a later version, if you attempt to install PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications of a version earlier than 11-00 without uninstalling the PFM - Manager or PFM - Base instance that is on the same device, the required disk space increases about 70 MB compared to the estimated amount required for PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications of a version earlier than 11-00.
If you want to use a system with the same disk space requirements as those of PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications of a version earlier than 11-00, uninstall PFM - Base or PFM - Manager, and then install PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications again.
