Format
jpcwras directory-name
Function
The jpcwras command collects data about PFM - Web Console. Use this command if a problem occurs during PFM - Web Console execution. The data collected by using this command is stored in the specified directory.
When a problem occurs, there is other information that is needed, in addition to the information collected by this command. For details on the information to be collected when a problem occurs, see the chapter on troubleshooting in the JP1/Performance Management User's Guide.

Arguments
directory-name
Specifies the name of the directory in which the collected information is to be stored.
For directory-name, you can specify alphanumeric characters, the space character, and the following symbols:

To include a space character, enclose it in double quotation marks ("). If you do not use double quotation marks, the system assumes the characters preceding to the space character indicate a directory.
When you specify any of the following symbols, enclose it in double quotation marks (") so that it will not be analyzed in Command Prompt.

Do not specify in this option a directory name for a removable medium, such as a floppy disk.
Notes

If the jpcwras command is executed more than once concurrently from different prompts, information cannot be acquired correctly. Do not execute this command more than once at a time.

You must specify the arguments in the order they appear in Format.

Specify only the indicated argument. If more arguments are specified, an error results. An error results if no argument is specified.

If the specified directory does not exist, a directory is created with the specified directory name.

Make sure that the directory name is not expressed as a relative path.
-
Do not specify a directory name using the UNC format.
-
Do not specify a directory at the PFM - Web Console installation target.

Make sure that the specified directory name does not exceed the maximum path length permitted by the OS. If the specified directory name is too long, files will not be copied or created.

Specify an empty directory that contains no files and has no directories under it.

If a disk space shortage occurs on the specified directory during command execution, the command results in an error. Before executing the command, make sure there is enough disk space.

If an error occurs during file collection, the file or directory that was being collected remains. Delete such remaining files and directories as needed.

In a cluster system, execute this command at all nodes in the cluster system. Also, if the system is operated in a multiple-monitoring environment, execute this command on both the primary and secondary hosts.

When executing the jpcwras command on a Windows environment, note the following regarding required free disk space:

The storage directory specified for the jpcwras command must have the same amount of free disk space as the amount of data collected.

About 50 MB of disk space will be used on the system drive (%SystemDrive%) for a temporary tablespace.
The following shows an execution example for the jpcwras command.
jpcwras D:\usr\wras
The data collected by the jpcwras command is assumed to be 200 MB. In this case, the free disk space required for the D:\usr\wras folder is 200 MB. Also, 50 MB of free disk space is temporarily required for the system drive (%SystemDrive% or %SYSTEMROOT%).

When executing the jpcwras command on a UNIX environment, keep the following in mind regarding required free disk space:

The storage directory specified for the jpcwras command must have twice as much free space as the data collected.

The amount of data collected by the jpcwras command is used in the /tmp or /var/tmp directory for tar command processing. Note that the directory used differs depending on the OS environment.
The following shows an execution example for the jpcwras command.
jpcwras /usr/wras
The data collected by the jpcwras command is assumed to be 100 MB. In this case, the free disk space required for the /usr/wras directory is 200 MB. Note that 100 MB of free disk space is temporarily needed in the /tmp or /var/tmp directory, for the tar command processing.
