1.7.7 Active Setting window
The Active Setting window is used to specify whether defined alarms are to be enabled or disabled. To display this window, in the Alarms window, from the method frame, choose the Activate method.
The following figure shows the Activate Setting window.
The following describes the displayed items:
- OK button

Saves the specified settings.
- Cancel button

Cancels the operation and clears the information frame.
- Text box

Use this text box to filter alarms by keywords. Specify a character string of 1 to 1,024 characters to filter the alarms that will be displayed. To use multiple conditions for an AND or OR search, delimit keywords by using a single-byte space, a two-byte space, or a tab. A delimiter is counted as one word. The maximum number of words that can be entered as filtering keywords is 100.
- Filter button

Filters alarms by using the string specified in the text box.
- Clear button

Clears the filtering status and the filtering condition.
- AND

Select this option button to perform an AND search.
- OR
-
Select this option button to perform an OR search.
- Select All button

Selects all displayed Activate check boxes.
- UnSelect All button

Clears all displayed Activate check boxes.
- Alarm name
-
Displays the alarm names defined in the selected alarm table. If an alarm has been selected, all alarm names defined in the same hierarchy are displayed.
- Activate

When selected, specifies that that alarm definition is to be enabled.
To disable an alarm definition, clear its check box.
When this check box is selected for an alarm, agent monitoring begins in accordance with the defined settings.
