12.3.4 Releasing linkage with JP1/IM

Organization of this subsection

(1) Releasing linkage with JP1/IM

To release linkage with JP1/IM, delete the definition files for JP1/IM linkage.

Delete all definition files you have copied to the JP1/IM directory. For details on the trigger applied to JP1/IM for deletion of a definition file, see the JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Overview and System Design Guide, JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Configuration Guide, and the manual JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Command and Definition File Reference.

If reports for multiple instances of PFM - Web Console are displayed from the JP1/IM Central Console, comment out or delete the <search-WebConsole> tag in the initialization file (config.xml), and then restart the PFM - Web Console service.

(2) Releasing linkage with JP1/IM2

  1. When the Performance Management services are not running, start them.

  2. When you have disabled the function for batch-issuing events that change agent status in your environment, if you want to suppress the issuance of JP1 system events regarding changes in configuration information during future linkage with JP1/IM, disable the issuance of JP1 system events for agents.

  3. If the accumulation of performance data is not necessary for the records for which performance data of Performance Management is collected, disable performance data accumulation.

  4. If you want to suppress the issuance of JP1 system events for health check agents during future linkage with JP1/IM, disable the issuance of JP1 system events for health check agents.

  5. Disable the JP1/IM2 linkage function by executing the following command:

    jpcconf im2 disable

If you are using this function in a cluster environment, execute the command in both the executing and standby nodes.

In a multiple-monitoring configuration, execute this command in both the primary and secondary systems.

  6. From JP1/IM2, delete the Performance Management configuration information.

For details on how to delete the Performance Management configuration information from JP1/IM2, see the manual on JP1/IM2.
