1.8.7 Messages output when the system starts or stops in an environment where automatic service stop is not enabled (applicable to an environment powered by CentOS 7 or later versions, Linux 7 or later versions, Oracle Linux 7 or later versions, SUSE Linux 12 or later versions)
- Organization of this subsection
(1) Services on monitoring managers and monitoring agents
In an environment powered by CentOS 7 or later versions, Linux 7 or later versions, Oracle Linux 7 or later versions, SUSE Linux 12 or later versions, the following messages may be output to syslog when the system starts or stops, regardless of whether automatic start or automatic stop is enabled for Performance Management services:
-
A message output when the system starts
systemd: Started PFM Service.
-
A message output when the system stops
systemd: Stopped PFM Service.
In an environment where only automatic service start is enabled, there is no way to suppress the output of the above messages.
In an environment where neither automatic service start nor automatic service stop is enabled, you can suppress the output of the above messages by executing the following command:
systemctl --system disable jp1_pc
If you have suppressed the output of the above messages and then you want to enable both automatic start and automatic stop of Performance Management services, you must not only enable automatic start and automatic stop of the services but also run the following command. It does not matter whether you first enable automatic start and automatic stop of the services and then run the command or vice versa.
systemctl --system enable jp1_pc
(2) Services on the monitoring console server
In an environment powered by CentOS 7 or later versions, Linux 7 or later versions, Oracle Linux 7 or later versions, SUSE Linux 12 or later versions, the following messages may be output to syslog when the system starts or stops, regardless of whether automatic start or automatic stop is enabled for PFM - Web Console services:
-
A message output when the system starts
systemd: Started PFM WebConsole Service.
-
A message output when the system stops
systemd: Stopped PFM WebConsole Service.
In an environment where neither automatic service start nor automatic service stop is enabled, you can suppress the output of the above messages by executing the following command:
systemctl --system disable jp1_webcon
If you have suppressed the output of the above messages and then you want to enable both automatic start and automatic stop of PFM - Web Console services, execute the following command before enabling automatic start and stop:
systemctl --system enable jp1_webcon
