Organization of this subsection

(1) System resources required by PFM - Manager

The following table describes the system resources required for PFM - Manager.

#1

For details about how to estimate N (the number of files opened by the Store

service), see the Release Notes.

#2

Separately from the fs.file-max parameter, you need to set the number of file descriptors able to be opened by a single process.

Before starting PFM - Manager, set a value larger than that determined by the equation shown in the following formula:

Number of file descriptors = 30,000 + Number of agents and Action Handler services to connect#3

If an instance of PFM - Agent or PFM - RM that uses version 2.0 of the Store database is present on the same host as PFM - Manager, set whichever is larger, this value or the number of files opened by the Store service.

For details about how to estimate the number of files opened by the Store service and how to set the number of file descriptors, see the Release Notes.

#3

Set the total number of Agent Controller, Remote Monitor Collector, and Action Handler services to connect.

(2) System resources required by PFM - Base

The following table describes the system resources required for PFM - Base.
