A.2 Notes on using WWW browser
The following shows notes on using WWW browser.
-
You cannot directly specify the path of a file to be attached to an Item in Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 10, or Internet Explorer 11. To attach a file, click the Browse button in the Attach File window, and then select the file.
-
This section describes symptoms that occur in JP1/Service Support due to problems with Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 10, or Internet Explorer 11.
These versions of Internet Explorer have other known problems. Therefore, always apply the latest patches to these versions of Internet Explorer before using them.
-
While you are downloading data, such as an attached file, with JP1/Service Support, processing might stop and the message "Getting File Information" might be displayed in the download window. If this symptom occurs, close the window by clicking the Cancel button, and then try again. This might enable you to download the data successfully. Also, you might be able to prevent this symptom from occurring by performing the following procedure for each client machine:
1. In the Control Panel, open Regional and Language Options.
2. Open the Languages tab.
3. Click the Details button.
4. Open the Advanced tab.
5. In the System Configuration area, select the Turn off advanced text services check box.
6. Click OK button, and then close all windows.
Note that after the above procedure is done, the advanced input support functions of Microsoft(R) IME 2002 and Microsoft(R) IME 2003 will no longer be available.
-
If you download a file whose name includes special characters, such as symbols, or specific multi-byte characters, a part of the file name might be changed.
-
Window display or computer response might become very slow while the Phishing Filter checks web page contents.
-
When a new window is opened by using an operation from JP1/Service Support, a blank page might be displayed. You might be able to display the contents by reloading the page.
-
When a new window is opened, the window size might be smaller than usual.
-
When a JP1/Service Support window is displayed, if you select a large font size or magnify the window by using the Change Zoom Level function, the window might be unable to display all of the text. If all of the text is not displayed, select a medium or small font size. Alternatively, restore the previous zoom level.
-
Web page contents might not be normally refreshed even if the pointer is moved to an inline frame.
-
The cookie of a website cannot be set if the website's domain name consists of only uppercase characters and has an odd number of characters. Therefore, the browser cannot hold session information for such a website. If JP1/Service Support is on such a website, the Login window appears each time an operation is performed in a JP1/Service Support window. In this case, change the domain name so that the name uses lowercase characters or has an even number of characters.
-
For the Internet shortcut icon of the JP1/Service Support Login window registered in the Start menu, the default system icon is displayed rather than the Internet Explorer icon. However, this does not affect the operation. When you click the displayed icon, the JP1/Service Support Login window is displayed.
-
The menus (including right-click menus) of JP1/Service Support might be displayed incompletely. However, this does not affect operation. You can execute the selected menu command normally even if the menu item name is displayed incompletely.
-
When you change the size of a frame displayed in a JP1/Service Support window by dragging the frame border, the new position of the border might be displayed incorrectly. To avoid this symptom, click the Advanced tab in the System Properties window, and then click Settings under Performance. In the dialog box that opens, click the Visual Effects tab, and select Show window contents while dragging.

-
This product supports only the desktop version of Internet Explorer, and does not support the modern version of Internet Explorer.
-
In case of using Internet Explorer 11, after specifying a file on the Attach file screen, if you press the OK button in a state in which the file path is deleted, the following problems occur:
-
The file whose file path was deleted is registered to JP1/Service Support.
-
The message "KNAB12003-E An invalid value was set to the request." is output.
If you delete the path of the specified file, specify the file path after closing the Attach file screen and opening the Attach file screen again.
