15.1 Troubleshooting procedure

Use the following procedure to troubleshoot problems in JP1/Service Support:

  1. Check the status

    Check the status of the problem. If a message is output, check the contents of the message.

    For details about how to take actions for possible problems, see 15.5 Troubleshooting problems.

  2. Collect data.

    If you cannot solve the problem by taking the above action or if an internal error or communication error occurred, you need to collect data to identify the cause of the problem. 15.2 Types of log information and collect necessary data.

  3. Investigate the problem

    Determine the cause of the problem based on the data you have collected, and identify where the problem occurred or narrow down the range of the problem.
