4.13.1 Linkage with an LDAP server
JP1/Service Support can use an LDAP server for user authentication. The LDAP server supported by JP1/Service Support is an Active Directory server.
Although Active Directory is used for user authentication, the information in the Item management database is used to display user information and to manage access permissions. Therefore, the user information registered in Active Directory must also be registered in the Item management database.
The settings for using an LDAP server for user authentication are specified by using the JAAS user management definition file (hptl_jp1_imss_ua_conf.properties). For details, see JAAS user management definition file (hptl_jp1_imss_ua_conf.properties) in Chapter 13. Definition Files.
