Check the items below.

Note that you can use the connection check command jbschkds to check the current directory server linkage settings and the results of connection to the directory server.

• Make sure that the directory server name and port number specified in the common definition are correct.

• Make sure that the directory server is running.

• If SSL is enabled, make sure that the environment is such that SSL can be used.

• Make sure that the directory server connection settings are correct.

• Make sure that the firewall settings are correct.

In the following cases, check the status of the directory server:

• If the LDAP error number is 85: A timeout occurred during connection with the directory server.

• If the LDAP error number is 51: The directory server is in a busy state.
