The event acquisition request is assumed to be issued in English, and processing of the request continues. If the event filter of the request contains multi-byte characters when the request is processed, the intended JP1 event might not be obtained.

Perform one of the following workarounds:

Upgrade to a version of JP1/Base that supports the encoding used in the messages.

If the operating system of the host that is acquiring the information is UNIX, change the language setting of the environment variable LANG for JP1/Base to a language supported by the version of JP1/Base that the host that the information is being acquired from is running.
