5.1.1 Host List page
The Host List page in the IM Configuration Management window lists the hosts registered in IM Configuration Management. The Host List page has two parts: a tree display area in which the hosts are listed in a tree structure, and a node information display area in which detailed information about the nodes displayed in the tree is displayed.
- Tree display area
-
Lists the hosts registered in the system hierarchy in a tree structure. The following table describes the items displayed in the tree display area.
Table 5‒2: Items displayed in the tree display area (Host List page) Display item
Description
Indicates a group.
When a group is selected, the lower-host information for the group is displayed in the node information display area. If there are no lower hosts, nothing is displayed in the node information display area.
Indicates a host. When a host is selected, detailed information about the host is displayed in the node information display area.
Indicates a virtual host. When a virtual host is selected, detailed information about the virtual host is displayed in the node information display area.
The virtual-host tree is always expanded.
- Node information display area
-
The node information display area on the Host List page displays information about the node item selected in the tree display area. The user can change the information that is displayed by clicking one of the following four buttons below.
- (Lower Host Information button)
-
Lists the hosts positioned lower than the selected host.
- (Basic Information button)
-
Displays the basic information about a host.
- (Product Information button)
-
Displays information about the product installed on the host.
- (Service Information button)
-
Displays information about the services running on the host.
Whether information can be displayed depends on the type of the host selected in the tree display area. The following table describes the relationship between host type and information that can be displayed.

- Organization of this subsection
(1) Lower Host Information
This area displays the full path name of the node selected in the tree display area, and the hosts positioned lower than the host selected in the tree. For example, if the user selects the upper-level host of a virtual host in the tree (VMM host), the virtual host is displayed. If Host List at the top of the tree is selected, all hosts are displayed.
The following figure shows an example of the window displayed when the Lower Host Information button is clicked.
- Lower Host Information
-
The items to be displayed in the Lower Host Information area, such as Host, IP address, and Host type can be selected from the menu displayed when the user right-clicks an item name.
The list in this area can be sorted based on an item (column) by clicking the header of the column. Sort the list if it is difficult to find the desired host.
When the header of a column is clicked once, the Δ icon is displayed beside the title. When the header of a column is clicked once again, the icon changes to . These icons alternate every time the header is clicked. The icon displayed for a column disappears when the header of another column is clicked, in which case, the list is re-sorted based on the other column.
-
The Δ icon means that the list is sorted based on the column in ascending order.
-
The icon means that the list is sorted based on the column in descending order.
The following table describes the items that can be displayed in the Lower Host Information area.
