4.10 Select Icon window

The Select Icon window is used to select icons for the monitoring nodes displayed in the Monitoring Tree window and Visual Monitoring windows. The Select Icon window is displayed when the user clicks the Change button on the General page of the Properties window.

The following figure shows an example of the Select Icon window.

When the user selects an icon displayed in the Select Icon window and clicks the OK button, the icon of the specified monitoring node changes to the selected icon. User-created icons can also be used by storing them in the specific folder JP1/IM - View shown below. The Select Icon window displays the icons available in the folder. If JP1/IM - View is installed on multiple hosts, the user-created icons must be distributed to each viewer. The following describes the location, formats, and size of the icons displayed in the Select Icon window:

Location of the icon folder:

view-path\image\icon\

The maximum length of the file name is 260 bytes, which include the path to the file storage location and the file name with its extension.

Formats of icon files that can be selected:

• JPEG

• GIF^#

• PNG

#: Animation GIF files cannot be used.

Size of icon images that can be selected:

16 x 16 pixels

When status-change conditions are set for a monitoring group, a monitoring group symbol is added to the icon of the monitoring group (example: , , , , and ).
