3.30 Settings for Event Receiver Filter window

The Settings for Event Receiver Filter window is used to prohibit specific users from monitoring specific JP1 events. A maximum of 128 user filters can be set.

To display the Settings for Event Receiver Filter window, the user must have JP1_Console_Admin permission. If the function for restricting reference permissions and operation permissions is enabled for business groups, this operation might not be performed depending on the combination of the JP1 resource group and permission level. For details, see 4.1.4(2) Assigning a JP1 resource group and permission level to a JP1 user in the JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Overview and System Design Guide.

The window is displayed when the user chooses Options from the menu bar of the Event Console window and then Event Receiver Filter Settings.

When the Apply button is clicked in the Settings for Event Receiver Filter window after filter conditions have been set in the Detailed Settings for Event Receiver Filter window, the filter conditions are converted into a filter condition statement. The statement takes effect immediately. The maximum total size of filter condition statements is 1 MB. If the creation of a new filter condition statement causes the maximum size to be exceeded, an error dialog box displaying the message KAVB0246-E appears when the OK button is clicked. If the error dialog box appears, the filter condition settings must be reviewed. The following describes the items displayed in the Settings for Event Receiver Filter window.

Specifications

This area displays a list of event receiver filters that are already set. Each line of the list displays the name of a filter and the names of the users to which the filter applies.

A maximum of 128 event receiver filters can be set for each system (one instance of JP1/IM - Manager). When 128 event receiver filters have been set, the Add button is disabled.

Add

Clicking this button allows the user to add a new event receiver filter. When this button is clicked, the Detailed Settings for Event Receiver Filter window appears.

Edit

To edit an existing existing event receiver filter that appears in the Specifications list, select the filter in the list and then click the Edit button. The Detailed Settings for Event Receiver Filter window opens, where the user can edit the settings of the selected filter.

Delete

To delete an event receiver filter that appears in the Specifications list, select the filter in the list and then click the Delete button.
