The following describes the items displayed in the Event Details window:

Edit

Clicking this button displays the Edit Event Details window. The Edit button is displayed only if settings for the integrated monitoring database and memo entries have been specified. Users that have JP1_Console_Admin permission or JP1_Console_Operator permission can use this button.

Previous

Clicking this button displays the detailed information about the JP1 event displayed one row above in the event list. Note that this button is disabled in the following cases:

  • When two or more events are selected in the Event Console window

  • When the JP1 event displayed at the top of the event list is selected

Next

Clicking this button displays the detailed information about the JP1 event displayed one row below in the event list. Note that this button is disabled in the following cases:

  • When two or more events are selected in the Event Console window

  • When the JP1 event displayed at the bottom of the event list is selected

Event attributes

This area displays the attribute names and values for a JP1 event. The attribute names that are displayed depend on the event.

Message

This area displays the message text of a JP1 event.

Message after the change/Message before the change

You can use the radio buttons to switch the message to be displayed between the message that was changed by the display message change function and the message before the change. If you select the Message after the change radio button, the changed display message is displayed. If you select the Message before the change radio button, the message before the change is displayed.

If the message of the JP1 event has not been changed (if the value of E.@JP1IM_CHANGE_MESSAGE is not 1), the radio buttons are unavailable with the Message before the change radio button selected.

If you move an event by using the Previous or Next button, the selected state of the radio buttons is kept. However, if the message of the JP1 event has not been changed, the Message before the change button is selected.

If the IM database has not been updated by using the jimdbupdate command after an upgrade installation was performed from version 10-50 or earlier, the radio buttons are unavailable with the Message before the change radio button selected.

Guide

This area displays the event guide information for the JP1 event for which detailed information is displayed. If no event guide information exists for the JP1 event, the following message appears:

KAVB1588-I

The Guide area is displayed only if the event guide function is enabled.

The event guide information to be displayed in this area must be specified in the event guide information file. For details about the event guide information file, see Event guide information file (jco_guide.txt) in 2. Definition Files in the manual JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Command, Definition File and API Reference.

Memo

This area displays memo entries set for the JP1 event. The Memo area is displayed only if settings for the integrated monitoring database and memo entries have been specified. For details, see 5.7 Setting memo entries in the JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Configuration Guide.

Execute Command

Clicking this button displays the Execute Command window that can be used to execute commands. This button is displayed only when command buttons are enabled. Users that have JP1_Console_Admin or JP1_Console_Operator permission can use this button.

The procedure for enabling command buttons is described in the JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Configuration Guide, but the relevant section differs according to the platform. If the platform is Windows, see 1.15 Setting up a command execution environment (for Windows). If the platform is UNIX, see 2.14 Setting up a command execution environment (for UNIX).

Monitor

Clicking this button opens the monitor window for the JP1 event for which detailed information is displayed. This button is disabled if no monitor window has been set for the JP1 event.

Action Log

Clicking this button opens the Action Log window if an automated action has been set for the JP1 event for which detailed information is displayed.

Register Incident

Clicking this button opens the Select the process work board as the registration target window of JP1/Service Support. This window can be used to register the displayed JP1 event as an incident.

This button is displayed only when linkage with JP1/Service Support is enabled.

For details about the settings for JP1/Service Support linkage, see the following descriptions:

Linkage with JP1/Service Support:

For details, see 9.1 Linking with JP1/Service Support in the JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Overview and System Design Guide.

To specify the settings for launching a JP1/Service Support window:

For details, see 10.1.1 Enabling calling the JP1/Service Support window in the JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Configuration Guide.

Relation definition file:

For details, see Definition file for manually registering incidents (incident.conf) in 2. Definition Files, and Configuration file for incident inheritance information (incident_info.conf) in 2. Definition Files in the manual JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Command, Definition File and API Reference.

This button is disabled when:

  • The JP1 user who has logged in to JP1/IM - Manager (Central Console) has only JP1_Console_User permission or no permission.

  • No JP1 event is selected in the Event Console window.

  • A event search is performed for a host to which JP1/IM - View is not connected and the details of a JP1 event registered on that host are displayed.

If event-source-host mapping is enabled, the attributes of JP1 events that can be registered as incidents change.

For details about the attributes of JP1 events that can be registered as incidents, see 9.1.1 Attributes of a JP1 event registered as an incident in JP1/Service Support during linkage in the JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Overview and System Design Guide.

Note

If the message KAVB0291-E is displayed in the Message area, the Register Incident button is disabled.

This symptom occurs if the detailed information to be displayed in the Event Details window cannot be received. This can happen when, for example, data in the JP1/Base event database wraps around, causing the relevant JP1 event information to be unavailable.

Display Performance

Clicking this button opens a report window in JP1/PFM - Web Console that shows the performance of the host where the event selected in the event list occurred at the time that the event occurred.

This button is displayed only when the function for displaying performance reports of event-source hosts is enabled. For details about this function, see 9.8 Linking with JP1/PFM in the JP1/Integrated Management 2 - Manager Overview and System Design Guide.

Note that this button is disabled in the following cases:

  • No JP1 events are selected in the Event Console window.

  • More than one JP1 event is selected in the Event Console window.

  • A dummy event is selected.
