3.4 Search Events page

The Search Events page of the Event Console window displays the results of a JP1 event search performed in the Event Search Conditions window. Each time that an event matching the specified search conditions is retrieved, it is displayed. The following figure shows an example of the Event Console window with the Search Events page opened.

The following describes the items displayed on the Search Events page:

Event Search Conditions

Clicking this button allows the user to specify the JP1 event search conditions.

Cancel Search

Clicking this button cancels the JP1 event search.

Search for Next Event

When many JP1 events match the search conditions, a single search might not be able to retrieve all the results. When this button is clicked, another search is performed to display more results.

This button is not available in the following cases:

  • When no events are displayed in the event list on the Search Events page

  • When an error occurs while searching for an event, and JP1 events with the following event IDs are displayed at the top or bottom of the event list:

    3F03, 3F04, 3F05, and 3F06

  • When the event search is canceled

  • When a search for older events ends because it has reached the beginning of the event database.

Event list

The event list on the Search Events page displays the results of a JP1 event search.

Note that the Source host item displayed on the Search Events page corresponds to the Source event server name item displayed in the Event Details window.

The user can use the event list to change the status of the displayed events. The maximum number of events whose status can be changed at one time is 2,000.

Search Events tab

If no event search is in progress, Search Events is displayed on the Search Events page tab. If an event search is in progress, Search Events (Searching) is displayed on the tab.
