- Important
-
After creating a guest user, inform him or her of the user ID and password and then ask him or her to change the password.
The following table describes the setting items for a guest user.
Item |
Description |
---|---|
User ID text box#1 |
Enter a user ID of a guest user. The user ID entered in this field is postfixed with an ID assigned to the domain. The ID assigned to the domain starting with an at mark (@) is shown on the right of the text box. The length of the user ID including the ID assigned to the domain must be no more than 256 characters. The user ID must be unique in a domain. |
User Language drop-down list box |
Select the language the guest user uses. Select Japanese, English, or Chinese. |
Name text box#2 |
Enter the name of the guest user in English. |
Email Address text box |
Enter an email address for the guest user. Notification emails for delivery and approval are sent to the email address specified in this field. You can enter no more than 256 alphanumeric characters and symbols. You cannot use a space character or the following symbols: /\?*:|"<>^. |
Password text box |
Enter a password for the guest user. Specify a password according to the authentication rules. |
Re-enter Password text box |
|
Limit Number of Uses drop-down list box |
Specify the number of times the guest user can send files and messages in the range from 0 to 10. After sending files for the specified number of times, the guest user cannot send files anymore. In this case, the guest user can log in to JP1/DH - Server and receive files. |
Select Group drop-down list box |
Guest groups are displayed in the list. Select a guest group to which the guest user belongs. |
Expire Date drop-down list box |
Specify the expiration date of the account set for the guest user. After the expiration date, the guest user cannot log in to JP1/DH - Server. If the expiration date of the account is extended, the guest user can log in to the service again. |
- Important
-
The guest user you are editing is sometimes a new guest user who was originally a member of the non-guest group and who has a user electronic certificate issued. In this case, editing the user ID (including case changes) invalidates the electronic certificate. For this reason, the user will no longer be able to log in by using the issued electronic certificate after the user becomes a member of the non-guest group from the guest group. For electronic certificates, contact your representative user or group manager.
