3.3.1 Uninstallation (in Windows)

This section describes how to uninstall the programs that make up JP1/AJS3 - Print Option from a Windows host.

  1. Quit all programs.

    Quit all programs before you uninstall JP1/AJS3 - Print Option.

  2. Uninstall the programs by choosing Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel.

    To uninstall a program, select the program you want to uninstall in the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel.

  3. Delete user files.

    When you uninstall JP1/AJS3 - Print Option, definition files and log files that were created after the program was installed are not deleted.

    To delete these files, use Windows Explorer to delete the folder in which JP1/AJS3 - Print Option was installed.

    Sample format definition files, sample jobnet flow format definition files, environment settings files, and page settings files are deleted even if they have been modified by a user. Back up these files as needed.

Note:

If you uninstall JP1/AJS3 - Print Option as a non-Administrator in an environment with User Account Control (UAC) enabled, promote the account to administrator status before you begin.
