2.9.1 Functions of the 32-bit and 64-bit versions

The following describes the functions of the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant.

The following table shows the advantages and disadvantages of the 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

Type	Advantage	Disadvantage
32-bit version	It uses the same file format as 11-00 or earlier, and thus there is no need to change the user assets.	In the 64-bit version of Excel, the import and export functions are not available. (The definition information management template can be edited.) The upper limit of the number of units is 65,000.
64-bit version	The upper limit of the number of units is 1,048,556.	In the 32-bit version of Excel, the import and export functions are not available. (The definition information management template can be edited.) It uses more memory than the 32-bit version. Processing takes more time than the 32-bit version. The size of a file gets larger than that in the 32-bit version.

In version 11-10, there is no functional difference between the 32-bit and 64-bit versions, but their environment setting parameters are different. For details, see 3.2 Environment settings parameters.
