Organization of this subsection

(1) Items displayed in common

The following figure shows the items displayed in common.

Figure 12‒130: Items displayed in common in the Detailed Definition - [Receive JP1 Event] dialog box

[Figure]

The following explains the items displayed in common.

Unit name

Specify a unit name. Use a character string of up to 30 bytes. The default is Receive-JP1-Event.

Comment

Specify a comment for the unit. Use a character string of up to 80 bytes. The default is a blank.

Exec-agent

Specify the execution agent name to be assigned the task of monitoring JP1 event reception. Use a character string of up to 255 bytes. If the version of the connection-target JP1/AJS3 - Manager is 09-50 or later, you can specify a macro variable instead. The default is a blank.

This item appears as a text box when either of the following applies:

  • The version of JP1/AJS - View or the connection-target JP1/AJS - Manager is earlier than 09-50

  • The unit is being defined under a remote jobnet

Otherwise, this item appears as a combo box in which you can select an execution agent. You can also directly enter an execution agent name into the combo box. The content of the list component of the combo box differs depending on whether execution agent profiles are enabled, and the contents of those profiles.

When execution agent profiles are disabled

The list is empty.

When execution agent profiles are enabled
  • If the specified job is associated with an execution agent profile

The list displays the execution agents permitted for the specified job.

  • If the specified job is not associated with an execution agent profile

If the upper-level unit is associated with an execution agent profile, the list displays the execution agents permitted for the upper-level unit.

If the upper-level unit is not associated with an execution agent profile, the list will be empty.

For details about execution agents, see 5.1.1 Execution agents in the manual JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Overview.

Cautionary notes
  • If you leave this text box blank, the system inherits the specification of the upper-level jobnet.

If an execution agent group for an upper-level jobnet has been specified, the system uses the execution agent group as the execution agent.

Because event jobs do not support an execution agent group, explicitly specify an execution agent name in Exec-agent. For details about the operation performed if an execution agent group is specified for an event job, see 7.6 Notes on using event jobs in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 System Design (Work Tasks) Guide.

  • When you copy and paste a cell in Excel, a space may be appended to the end of the pasted text. In such a case, delete the space.

Pass Info button

Specify information to be inherited by the subsequent job or jobnet. Clicking the Pass Info button displays the Detailed Definition - [Receive JP1 Event ]- [Passing Information] dialog box. For more information, see 12.4.18 Detailed Definition - [event-job-icon-name] - [Passing Information] dialog box. This button is located at the bottom of the dialog box.

(2) Definition page

The following figure shows the Definition page in the Detailed Definition - [Receive JP1 Event] dialog box.

You can use a regular expression to specify the host name. For details about regular expressions for Windows, see the JP1/Base User's Guide. For details about regular expressions for UNIX, see your UNIX documentation. If the version of the connection-target JP1/AJS3 - Manager is 09-50 or later, you can specify a macro variable instead. The default is a blank.

When UNIX is used as the platform for receiving JP1 events or when an extended regular expression is used in Windows, you can enclose the name in parentheses, to inherit it as extracted data.

IP address

Enter the IP address of the host that issues the event. Do not specify an IP address in IPv6 format. You can set up to four IP addresses. Use a character string of up to 3 bytes. The default is a blank.

The following gives an example of the specification format.

Example

XXX.YYY.xxx.yyy

For each of XXX, YYY, xxx and yyy, you can set 0 to 255.

Other basic information

If conditions on the other basic information are set by a command for the JP1 event, this item appears.

If you click Details button, the Detailed Definition - [Receive JP1 Event] - [Details] dialog box appears. For details, see 12.4.16 Detailed Definition - [Receive JP1 Event] - [Details] dialog box.

End judgment

You can select one of the following rules for end judgment. The default is a blank. The system assumes Always normal if you do not specify anything for this item. If you specify Always normal, this item will appear blank.

  • Blank

    Assumes Always normal.

  • Always normal

Always terminates the task for monitoring JP1 event reception normally.

  • Always abnormal

Always terminates the task for monitoring JP1 event reception abnormally.

  • Normal if message matches

If the message monitored for reception matches the contents of the specified file, this option terminates the task for monitoring JP1 event reception normally.

  • Abnormal if message matches

If the message monitored for reception matches the contents of the specified file, this option terminates the task for monitoring JP1 event reception abnormally.

  • Normal if details match

If the detail information monitored for reception matches the contents of the specified file, this option terminates the task for monitoring JP1 event reception normally.

  • Abnormal if details match

If the detail information monitored for reception matches the contents of the specified file, this option terminates the task for monitoring JP1 event reception abnormally.

For File name, specify the name of a file containing messages and detail information. Use a character string of up to 256 bytes. The default is a blank. This item appears only when you select Normal if message matches, Abnormal if message matches, Normal if details match or Abnormal if details match.

Find event before exec.

Specify whether to monitor the receptions of JP1 events immediately after a job for monitoring JP1 event reception is registered for execution (before UP1 event monitoring starts). Those JP1 events occurred until the job for monitoring JP1 event reception was registered for execution. The default is No.

  • No

Monitors the receptions of only the JP1 events that occurred immediately after the job for monitoring JP1 event reception was registered for execution. The system does not monitor the JP1 events that occurred before start of execution.

  • Yes

Of the JP1 events that occurred before the job for monitoring JP1 event reception was registered for execution, monitors the JP1 events that occurred before the specified time. This monitoring occurs immediately after the job for monitoring JP1 event reception is registered for execution (before JP1 event monitoring starts). Specify the monitoring time in minutes. You can specify 1 to 720. The default is 10. If you specify Yes, Event ID is mandatory.
