12.4.1 Configuration of the window

The following figure shows the Jobnet Editor window.

Figure 12‒94: Jobnet Editor window

[Figure]

The following explains the displayed items.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Tree area

Displays the jobnet being defined in a hierarchy.

For a release target jobnet, the jobnet is displayed in the root-jobnet-name(release-ID) format for each definition for which release entry is performed. Note that the release ID is not displayed if the release ID is AJS_AUTO.

(2) Map area

Displays the definition contents of the jobnet selected in the tree area.

If you have chosen wallpaper for each unit from Set Wall Paper in the Options menu, or if you have set additional, customized wallpaper, it appears as a background image. For details, see 12.4.43 Wall Paper dialog box and 11.5.6 Changing the background image of the map area.

If you set Selected for Unit name new line in the Editor/Monitor page of the Preferences dialog box, you can specify the line-feed location of the unit name. If you have selected Yes for Display comments in the Editor/Monitor page of the Preferences dialog box, the comment set in the Define Details dialog box will also appear. For details, see 12.3.42 Preferences dialog box.

(3) Icon list

Displays icons. The icons are divided into five types: Basic, Events, Actions, Custom Jobs, and Tools. For details of the icons, see Table 12-39 .

You can make settings so that icons that are not used are not displayed in the icon list. For details about how to do this, see 11.5.12 Hiding the icons of unused units in the icon list. A tab without any icons to be displayed is not displayed in the icon list. However, if all tabs have no icons to be displayed, only the Basic tab is displayed without any icons.

(4) Jobnet

Displays the relative or full name of the jobnet currently displayed in the map area. You can edit the file ajs2view_opt.conf in order to determine whether to display the relative name or full name for the jobnet. For details, see 11.5 Customizing the Jobnet Editor window.

(5) Exclusive edit check box

Select whether to use the Jobnet Editor window in exclusive edit mode. When you define or associate jobs, use exclusive edit mode in order to prevent the other users from accessing this window. In the initial status, this item is not selected. Editing is impossible if the window cannot be placed in exclusive edit mode. For example, you cannot place the window in exclusive edit mode when another Jobnet Editor window has been placed in exclusive edit mode.

In the exclusive edit mode, no other user can add or delete units using commands that perform operations on JP1/AJS3 - View and units. However, even during exclusive editing, another user can edit the contents of the unit definition before the system enters the exclusive edit mode. Therefore, multiple users must pay attention when editing.

Moreover, you cannot perform operations, such as registering for execution and canceling execution, for jobnets containing units being exclusively edited. After finishing the definition edit operations such as addition or deletion of units and related settings, cancel the exclusive edit mode.

(6) Edit mode selection button

This button associates or dissociates units in the map area. For details about relating the units, see 5.2.5 Relating jobs and jobnets. The following are the available edit mode selection buttons.

(7) List area

Lists the basic information about the units displayed in the map area. You can minimize the list area by clicking View, List Area, and then Minimum.

You can change the items displayed in the list area and the order in which they appear. For details about how to set the display items, see 12.3.46 Display Item Setup dialog box.

Unit name

Displays the icon and name of a unit.

Comment

Displays the comment defined in the Define Details dialog box for the unit.

Type

Displays the type of the unit.

Retry settings

The following is displayed for Unix jobs, PC jobs, Queue jobs, flexible jobs, HTTP connection jobs, standard custom jobs, custom PC jobs, and custom Unix jobs:

  • When retry settings are enabled

    Yes is displayed.

  • When retry settings are disabled

    No is displayed.

For the following units, a hyphen (-) is displayed:

  • Units other than the above types

  • Units whose connection-target JP1/AJS3 - Manager version is earlier than 10-00

  • Units for which the JP1/AJS3 - Manager database is a compatible ISAM configuration

This item appears in JP1/AJS3 - View version 10-00 or later.
