4.2.1 Normal mode

In Normal mode, there are two JP1/AJS3 - View window types:

The following provides an overview of operations available in these windows.

Organization of this subsection

(1) JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window)

When you start JP1/AJS3 - View in Normal mode and log in to JP1/AJS3 - Manager, the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window) appears. The following figure shows the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window).

The following describes the display areas.

Function menu area

In the items listed in Function Menu, click the operation you want to perform. When you click an item, the JP1/AJS3 - View window behaves as follows:

  • Displays in the list area only the units relevant to the item you chose.

  • Makes available only the operation menus relevant to the item you chose.

  • Changes the items displayed in the detailed information area to the information related to the item you chose.

If you click Summary Monitor, the main window changes to the Summary Monitor window.

Tree area

The tree area displays the scheduler service (root job group) defined for JP1/AJS3 - Manager and its subordinate job groups and planning groups in hierarchical format. When you select a unit in the tree area, the units immediately below the selected unit appear in the list area.

List area

The list area lists the units immediately below the unit selected in the tree area. The list area displays only the units whose type is relevant to the item chosen in Function Menu.

Detailed information area

The detailed information area displays the details, such as definitions and execution information, about the units selected in the list area. The detailed information area can display information about multiple units at one time. The types of information that are displayed are fixed for each Function Menu item that is chosen.

To display details, select a unit in the list area and then click the Show button. If you want to display the information for another unit, select a different unit in the list area and then click the Show button again.

For some types of information that are displayed, the information appears on multiple pages, in which case click the appropriate tab to display the information.

Clicking Refresh updates the displayed information for all units currently displayed in the detailed information area.

To minimize the detailed information area, choose View, Detailed Information Area, Area Size, and then Minimum. To restore the minimized detailed information area, choose View, Detailed Information Area, Area Size, and then Restore.

(2) JP1/AJS3 - View window (Summary Monitor window)

Choosing Summary Monitor from Function Menu in the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window) opens the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Summary Monitor window). The following figure shows the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Summary Monitor window).

The following describes the display areas.

Function menu area

From the items listed in Function Menu, click the operation you want to perform.

If you choose any item other than Summary Monitor, the summary monitor window changes to the main window.

Summary list

The summary list displays the progress of units that are registered as monitoring targets, the status of subordinate units, scheduled end time, and other information.

For details about how to register units as monitoring targets, see 8.3 Monitoring the progress.

Unit detailed information list

The unit detailed information list displays details about the unit selected in the summary list and its subordinate units.

The unit detailed information list is blank by default. To display details, select a unit in the summary list, and then choose View, Unit Detailed Information List, and either unit-status or All. If you choose unit-status, the unit detailed information list displays only those units categorized with unit-status among the units below the unit selected in the summary list. If you choose All, the unit detailed information list displays all the units below the unit selected in the summary list.

If you want to display information about another unit, select a different unit in the summary list, and then choose View, Unit Detailed Information List, and either unit-status or All again.
