11.4.2 Exiting disaster recovery mode (when the logical host names at the main and remote sites are the same)

Use the procedure in the following figure to exit disaster recovery mode when the logical host names at the main and remote sites are the same.

Figure 11‒21: Exiting disaster recovery mode (when the logical host names at the main and remote sites are the same)

[Figure]

To stop the JP1/AJS3 system from operating in disaster recovery mode:

  1. Stop JP1/AJS3 at the main site.

After JP1/AJS3 has stopped, use a hardware operation to stop the copy process between the shared disks.

  2. On the primary and secondary nodes at the main site, exit disaster recovery mode.

Execute the following command on both the primary and secondary nodes at the main site:

    jajs_rpsite -m UNSET -h logical-host
  3. On the primary and secondary nodes at the remote site, exit disaster recovery mode.

Execute the following command on both the primary and secondary nodes at the remote site:

    jajs_rpsite -m UNSET -h logical-host
Cautionary note

If the main site and the remote site use the same logical host name and the same IP address, make sure that both sites do not exist in the same network after you exit disaster recovery mode. Start the two sites alternatively, or disconnect either site from the network.
