2.3.5 Recovering the JP1/AJS3 - Agent setup information
The following lists the tasks required to recover the JP1/AJS3 - Agent setup information of from the backup.
-
Setting up JP1/AJS3
-
Recovering the definition files
-
Starting JP1/AJS3 (cold start)
The following describes the tasks required to recover the JP1/AJS3 - Agent setup information from the backup.
- Organization of this subsection
(1) Setting up JP1/AJS3
If the JP1 environment has been damaged due to a corrupted disk or another problem, you must install JP1/Base, set up JP1/Base, and then install the JP1/AJS3 series program in that order. For details about how to set up JP1/AJS3 - Agent, see 3.2.2 Setting up JP1/AJS3 - Agent in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide (in Windows) or 13.2.2 Setting up JP1/AJS3 - Agent in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide (in UNIX).
Note that, if common definition information of JP1/AJS3 - Agent is to be recovered all at once in the following step (2), the user does not have to follow the set-up procedure in the preceding manual to configure common definition information (environment setting parameters) by using the jajs_config command or the jbssetcnf command. However, the user must perform the procedure to copy the common definition information of the active system to the standby system when setting up the cluster environment.
(2) Recovering the common definition information of JP1/AJS3 - Agent
(a) In a physical host environment
To recover the common definition information for JP1/AJS3 - Agent in a physical host environment, execute the following commands:
For details on the jbssetcnf command, see the JP1/Base User's Guide.
jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1AJS2 jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1NBQAGENT jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1NBQCLIENT jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1NBQNOTIFY jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1AOMAGENT jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1AJS2COMMON#1 jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1QLAGENT#2
- #1
-
If environment setting parameters under JP1AJS2COMMON are being added by using the jajs_config command or the jbssetcnf command, perform a recovery because there is a definition key. For details about the environment setting parameter, see 20.11.1 List of the environment setting parameters for JP1/AJS3 shared information in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide.
- #2
-
If the queueless job execution environment is being set up, perform a recovery because there is a definition key.
(b) In a logical host environment
To recover the common definition information for JP1/AJS3 - Agent in a logical host environment, execute the following commands:
For details on the jbssetcnf command, see the JP1/Base User's Guide.
jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1AJS2 of the logical host jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1NBQAGENT of the logical host jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1NBQCLIENT of the logical host jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1NBQNOTIFY of the logical host jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1AOMAGENT of the logical host jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1AJS2COMMON of the logical host#1 jbssetcnf backup-file for JP1QLAGENT of the logical host#2
- #1
-
If environment setting parameters under JP1AJS2COMMON are being added by using the jajs_config command or the jbssetcnf command, perform a recovery because there is a definition key.
(3) Recovering the definition files
Restore the backed-up files to their original locations.
- Cautionary note
-
Before you recover the definition files, make sure that the following conditions exist:
-
JP1/Base is installed.
-
JP1/AJS3 is installed.
-
JP1 in the logical host environment has been set up (for recovery of a logical host environment).
-
JP1/Base and JP1/AJS3 are not running.
-
The shared disk is mounted (to recover the settings file of a logical host).
-
(4) Starting JP1/AJS3
After recovery, cold-start JP1/AJS3.
